Ich bin ein Berliner

Last week, Therese and I went to Berlin! I really love Berlin and I'm glad it's just as great as I remember it. I saw my old host family. They are SO nice. I really missed them and I think they missed me too. At least, my host dad did. I'm still not sure why but he's super fond of me and calls me his "crazy chicken." Hahaha! Funny story, I thought he used to call me "crazy dog." I know. It sounds super awful. The thing is though, he was always using the neutral case and dog is masculine, but I was always assuming it was some colloquial weird thing, until Therese cleared it up for me. XD

We also met a bird while we were in Berlin.

Therese named him Gustav. And then she was like "Gustav, here's a fry" (because we were eating french fries). She meant it as a joke but when she threw the fry at him he snatched it up and ate it in a matter or seconds. It was HILARIOUS. We're really strange and awesome people. It's all right. We know it already.

While in Berlin, we also visited the Gemäldegalerie. I had visited it the last time I was in Berlin, but I had forgotten to take my camera inside! So I had to go back because there's a beautiful Boucher painting (y'all know about me and Boucher) of Venus and Cupid.

And also Cranach.

Ain't their faces the utmost though?

We also found lots of proof that European people knew black people existed!

From the 1500s and 1400s respectively. Whoo! But they can't put them in kids movies based in old Europe because that's the MOST unrealistic right? Even more so than magic hair and turning into bears.

Then there was also a fresco with two of my favourite gods

Minerva and Mercury. Fanning myself. I'm completely besotted with them. If you didn't know.

We stayed with Therese's cousin in Berlin and she had the CUTEST little Dachshund.

She slept by us too. She was so warm and adorable. On the first day, I kept thinking she was sad because of the shape of her mouth. Oops.

Also, there was a 20% discount on Isana.

Which is the Rossman house brand. Hahahaha.

Isana Men. ;) Is this the right way to end a post? Or is it the right way?
